What dimarzio pickup combination is good for heavy metal chuggin' and bluesy cleans in a HSH configuration? I have a Peavey Vypyr 30 which I will soon be upgrading to a Blackstar HT-5 combo. My budget is $300.

Miles out mate.

TS, pair of Dimarzio Breeds should do the trick.

Were those the 'super-awesome-but-so-articulate-you-hear-every-cockup' pickups? Or am I mistaking em with something else?

My vote goes for Air Norton + D-Sonic + YJM/area 67 for the middle

(yes, probably the ****tiest combo ever but heck)
