I'd suggest a simple black, white, or blue, as anything tacky or complex would be too much and also draw away from the design (which looks great by the way)

unless you would want to continue the paint onto the pickguard, which might look cool.

That's crazy. Great work on it, looks amazing. It's kind of hard to tell what would look best without seeing it (maybe doing something in photoshop), but I think either ~1 inch thick stripes alternating blue/orange or really thick stripes alternating would look cool. They'd go bottom left to top right if you're looking at it in that picture.

edit: Or maybe paint the whole pickguard blue and then write something in graffiti on top of it in orange/blue/
There be no shelter here.

...you could cover it up with like paper on the inside, painted with a continuation of the design?

I like the mirror finish idea, I think it would pull the design together well and make it look sick.

You'll be able to see all the routing with a clear pickgaurd, dont do that.

I think i white pickgaurd would look nice. Or exactly the same blue as the guitar. Don't put something over the top on there.

That design looks amazing btw! You should have done the headstock the same with the thinner lines.

Edit: Took ages to type that post, someone beat me to the clear pickguard thing.

I done it for a school project, and I ran out of time, that's why the heastock is like that
Thanks for ll the inputs, but I think I'm just gonna stick with the idea to paint the pickguard in plain blue

^ good. just make sure it matches the body or it'll look pretty bad.

That's way too much epicness for one guitar. I can't explain how insane that would be. You just blew my mind.

Of course I'd take the exact same color, but what about painting on the pickguard? How should I do that?

Blue pickguard and paint to match. Or clear so you can see all the wiring. That'd be pretty cool.

The same orange or cream. Black'd do it too. Mint *might* work well too, as odd as that may seem... Stick some blocks of colour on top in photoshop or ms paint and see how it looks.

The only problem I have with the clear pickguard is that the inside of the routings is pretty ugly
#27
Yeah man make sure its exactly the same as the body.

Haha the headstock still looks cool, just would be cooler if it was the same as the body.

The designs Awsome, did it take you look to paint it?

May I ask how you achieved such a nice design?

Was it: orange -> tape (the lines that remained orange -> blue?

Metallic/mirror pick guard. Or black. I was thinking tortoiseshell too, maybe...
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.

or, get clear pickguard, the paint the underside same way as the body, then put some leds in there, that would look EPIC.
