I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place. But I have absolutely no idea where else to post it.

I'm buying a Macbook pro this month and I want to buy some recording software. I'm thinking probably ProTools. But is there anything else that anyone else prefers? Also I need to get an external recording interface like a mixing board or something like that. I really don't want to shell out another $2000 for the Protools software plus the Digidesign mixing board.

There's a Riffs and Recordings forum.
Delete this thread and repost it there before this gets closed.

I'd simply copy this and paste it over there, but you would be immediately directed to this thread in the Riffs and Recordings forum

Start there, and then ask away.
