What's wrong with people? People only listen to metalcore nowadays... not anymore good old fashioned death metal...

...while staying on topic, Trivium uses a lot of standard tuning. You can also play some of All That Remains' riffs on drop-d.

LOL, for some reason the impression I get from you is like some wacky Frank Zappa of metal pulling pranks at the Grammys and telling crude jokes during interviews.

I can't think of any Metalcore that is in any tuning other than drop C or C standard...

the problem with death metal is that it tends to be too technical for my abillity...and I really don´t like the vocals

yet you like metalcore? Oh the irony.

Anyway, why not try out some old school thrash stuff?

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Not really a metalcore band but check out Sylosis, standard tuned and does share a few slight metalcore elements.

3 Inches of Blood.

Some of it is metalcore-ish.

You could always transpose songs and play them in drop D, or just plain old e standard.

Took the words right out of my mouth. They're more straight up thrash metal than anything, but have some slight metalcore nuances.
