I've just read "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe and I adore it. I'd love to use sections of it in a song but I'm curious as to if there will be any copyright/legal issues. I am aware Poe is desceased but I'm still curious as to if there will be reprecussions

as long as your not bluntly taking lines from the book it shouldn't matter. like if you used "quoth the Raven NEVERMORE" you may get a lawsuit on your hands. you have to re-word that line so that its yours.
