Please knock Line 6 out of your choices.

I'd go with the Cube.

Add Roland MicroCube and Peavey Vypyr 15 (or higher) to the list. Both good choices.

Do you already have an amp?
If Yes, You're not going to get any better with that budget, you'd be better off saving for a while more.

If you don't already have an amp, I'd go with the Cube as well.

It's really Vypyr vs Cube in this price range.

With pedals you can throw your guitar down for an impromptu pedal drone solo, whereas if you did that on a rack it would just look like you were programming your washing machine.

Vypyr is more versatile, but the Cube sounds better imo
I don't believe in signatures. Ah, sh...

Yeah, I'll jump on the Vyper bandwagon...

I'm guessing by the amps you posted, your budget is like 120$ ??

The vyper 15 will be a good improvement. Not so much in tone (maybe a little better but not a whole lot). But for all the extras that come with it. The effects and such...
That will be a nice improvement over the starter pack amp...

Cube will be good too, but since others have suggested the vyper, I've heard alot of good about the vypers...

so its up to new spider, cube, and peavey
any thoughts about new spider?

Cant say until we hear actual stuff instead of recordings from the site. It will probably be a little expensive for the beginning for it to be worth it though.

Not to be rude but there are like 10 threads a day about this, and once again, i suggest a Peavey Vypyr or the Roland Cube
