is it 200 dollar worthy?

I like the sound of my emgs in my schecter c-1 hellraiser fr i just got, but like the sound of seymour duncan blackouts better. Would it be worth it to swap them out for the sd blackouts?

how much more do you like the sound?

there quite similar pickups and as you already have the emgs i probably wouldnt save up for the blackouts unless you had alot of money to spend so you can get the perfect tone

yeah i like the blackouts more but probably not enough more if it isnt gonna drastically improve the tone. Maybe i should wait till my next guitar for blackouts or something?

I wouldn't really spend the money to do it, just do the 18v mod. The pickups are very much alike.

Try the 18v mod with your EMG's. You'll get greater dynamic range and greater headroom.

Buy 3 9v battery clips from Radio Shack and wire up a harness. You don't have to solder, just splice and tape.
