My favourite genre to play is power metal so can someone reccomend me songs of the genre with easy solos as I want to improve my soloing because it's the weakest aspect of my playing

What bands are included in "power metal"? Sorry, I'm not really in touch with all these sub genre; it seems like everyone has a different opinion on what bands are included.
R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio. Supplied amazing music to both me and my mother.

He will be missed.

Any of the ballad solos by sonata arctica but your going to need really good phrasing to re-create Janis playing

As someone said dragonforce intro and verse and pre chorus and post chorus solos are very straightforward

Stratovarius solos are generally easy enough to learn and play

Most Blind Guardian solos should be ok for you BUT the amount of overlaping guitars make it very hard to transcribe and his use of bends requires strict articulation

There are plenty of GP tabs for Blind Guardian. I never liked SA ballads.
Which Strat. solos?

On an off topic note, your YouTube vids are awesome

Thanks man, well I tend to use my ear a lot when learning songs but the BG tabs by ?lassu karhu feanor? are incredible, yeah SA ballads are so chessy but Jani always wrote the perfect solos for them.

Stratovarius: Eagleheart, hunting high and low, no turning back 4000 rainy nights stuff like that

Even learning bits of power metal songs will help you a lot, just download a load of different guitar pro tabs by stratovarius, SA, blind guardian, hammerfall, firewind, edguy, sabaton and learn bits and pieces and your playing will improve tenfold
