I have an American Strat HSS but would like a better guitar for playing Jazz
So far I've been getting by using the last position in the S-1 switching system which combines the mid and neck pickup in series so that it almost sounds like a humbucker, but it still can't get a real legit jazz tone

I am, however, on a budget
Do you think either of these guitars would be a good idea?

If you have any better suggestions, feel free to put them out there
(Nothing above $500, below $400 is ideal)

This guitar is going to have one job, and that's getting that nice dark jazz tone

The cream Douglas looks nice! I've ordered from Rondomusic and they're guitars are quite good! I suggest you get one there
