Well Pit, the time has come to announce the songs that cause you eternal joy and happiness, to the point of running naked Sigur Ros style. Then contrast it absolutely with the songs that take you back to a time when Linkin Park and Simple Plan's words rang true in your hearts

Happiest: I'd have to say probably Wake The Sun by The Matches

Saddest: I'm gonna go ahead and say How Soon Is Now by The Smiths

GO!
Top 15:
Neutral Milk Hotel
Smashing Pumpkins
Placebo
Elliott Smith
Devendra Banhart
Pavement
Anberlin
Eve 6
The Clash
Imogen Heap
Ingrid Michaelson
Bayside
Minus The Bear
The Replacements
Bright Eyes/Conor Oberst

Saddest either Buckley's version of Hallelujah, Ray Lamontagne - Empty,
or Joshua Radin - What If

I agree with all of those except of the Ray Lamontagne one; I've never heard of it.

So are you just trying to get attention when you misspell "they're"?
Or are you just a girl?

How about punching him in the face? You just let him touch your goods? What's wrong with you? Unless you like it of course, but that's another matter

the lyrics aren't really that happy,
"We'll choke on our vomit and that will be the end
We were fated to pretend"
but the music is.

Happiest: I Wanna Be Sedated by Ramones. Don't really like the song much (love the Ramones, don't like the song), but it's the meaning of happiness

Saddest: Cat in the Cradle by Ugly Kid Joe (Their version is more emotional for me)

Happy: "Float On" Modest Mouse (THE HAPPIEST SONG EVER)
Sad: "How To Disappear Completely" Radiohead

Well, unless you're playing guitar by thrashing your dick around the strings I see no application of guitar technique to sex.

Happiest - Viva Las Vegas
Saddest - Mama said.

Nothing is happier than someone somehow making Elvis singing about his erectile dysfunction, right?

And Mama Said is pretty depressing when James sings it live. But the studio one makes me sick, weird having a band like Metallica playing country. I'd rather have it played without the slide guitar so it sounds more like a rock ballad

Saddest - Is This It by The Strokes

Can't think of a really happy song off the top of my head.
#31
Sultans Of Swing - Dire Straits.
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd.
I think its time to pack your things lets go,
To a place where we both know,
And dont worry, I'll drive real slow,
Spend some time before we go..

Happiest: I guess some Motorhead. "Love Me Like A Reptile" or something. And sure it's instrumental music, but Scale The Summit.
Saddest: Laugh all you want, but Opeth's "To Bid You Farewell"...
Otherwise, Zeppelin's "Ten Years Gone". I guess Pink Floyd's "High Hopes" isn't particularly far off.

and with the loss we became strong.

I'm surprised to see that no one has mentioned the original version of "Hurt" yet.
