not bad for less than a year bro....it obviously needs a lot of work but i'm impressed for you playing less than a year...i would give you a specific area to work on but it's pretty much gonnna come with time...just little stuff like vibrato, clean pull offs/hammer ons, alternate picking...it will all come iwth time

It's alright, man. I'd give it a solid four stars. I loved most of the changeups you made to the song, especially with the slides at the very beginning. Of course, there are a few mistakes and you can get it cleaner and stuff, but it's pretty awesome for under a year.

Here's an old video of mine if you want to compare... this was recorded back in April of '08, when I had been playing roughly about the same time as you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmTOWlPZPjo skip to about 5:30 if you want to see the solo.
"What are those wooden things? Chairs?"
"No, they are acoustic instruments."
"Acoustic? What's that? Oh you mean a grampa's guitar?"
"A grampa's guitar? That's for pussies and grampas. I think you know it."

What i liked is that it has a different sound to the orignal, but yet still sounds good,
