THIS THREADS BACK! Though, it used to be called "Rate the Song above you", but nobody would actually critique it, so this is good.

We'll use youtube for this. I'll post a song to start from youtube. Next person give your honest opinion of the song and give a summary of your judgement. Then post your own.

great song, 5/5. I love the way the song starts relatively soft, then it all comes together and climaxes towards the end, very well written, good feel to it

Incubus is good, and though they're older stuff is so much better, that was one of the better songs from the cd.

I'd give it a 4/5, never really heard Incubus but I'll say it's not bad.

I'm not an Insane Clown Posse fan but I still listened to the song and my rating is 2/10 if it weren't for the billion fucks in the song it would be a 4.

"funky" i guess would be the right term

Not really my kinda music, but it certainly didn't make my ears bleed. I liked the chorus. The little sounds and effects added in all over the place were interesting too.

I'll give it a 7/10, deducting points because it wasn't really my taste.

Never really listened to Sevendust before, but that was better then I expected. Wasn't too big of a fan of the verse vocals, but the chorus was pretty good, really liked the heavily wah'd guitar in the background, really added to it.

Gonna give it a 8/10, I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to it, but all in all, it was a pretty good song.

Absolutely can not stand his voice. Weak, whiney, off-key at places... Musicianship isn't bad however.

4/10.

And I bring... Roger Taylor, drummer from Queen. Surrender.

I'll do yours too.

5/10, really not my kind of music, but, I can appreciate the musicianship, they obviously know their way around their instruments. Wasn't crazy about the vocal's, though.

I like the drums and the tone of the guitar throughout but idk about the vocals. The wah guitar and the little bass break were nice though.

Not bad... Changes pretty drastically at one point, but it allowed the song to go that extra level, if you know what i mean. 7.5/10

I really liked the drums in that song, as well as the kind of chilling vocals. The atmosphere of the song was quite nice as well, and it transitioned well between the two halves.

I liked the song, the intro was good, the verse was a bit slow and soft IMO but it fit so it still sounded pretty good, also I liked the part starting at about 1:32 and ending at 2:38. All in all I give it a 8/10

I really dig their style, the overlaying guitars meshed great. I wasn't crazy about the vocals though, the self harmonizing didn't fit well i felt. The solo section was a bit messy also.

How about something most UGers aren't exposed to often - hip hop?
Immortal Technique - You Never Know

It was the first song when i hit shuffle.

EDIT: oh yeah, and just a warning, this song is pretty depressing.

alright that song whooped my ass, it's definitely my type. I loved the intro. The guitar is pretty sweet, it brought back memories of Father McKenzie doing stuff to my bum.

Funky-jazz-rock shiz goin' on right here. Those asian dudes sure know how to play a guitar. Only giving it an 8/10, though, because the dude in the red shirt seems to be trying way to hard at times, and the shredding bit that the black shirt does just doesn't seem to fit to well.
