hey my little sister just got a guitar from her aunt and it makes a buzz noise on the E,A,D, and G strings, only when you play it open though. the strings look pretty far from the fret board do i need to adjust the truss rod.? what are the steps or what should i do? please help its annoying

its an electric acoustic i think, well its acoustic but you can plug it in to be i think somewhat electric

just asking because most cheap acoustics don't even have truss rods. you should probably take it to a shop just to be sure. i stuffed my acoustic when i tried to file down the nut because i went too far.

i really doubt if it is just a couple of frets because other frets would do it too. the other thing it could be is the strings are new. all strings buzz slightly when they've just been put on.
