Hi guys, I own a Mesa Boogie Studio preamp. As you might know, this one has two different outputs with a volume knob for each one and each output is supposed to be identical. Output B sounds like sex, like it should. Output A however sounds really thin, muffled and not very loud; I still get some sound when I put the preamp on standby (yes, this particular preamp has a standby switch). What might be the problem?

Tubes?

Other than that I have no clue.

Could there be different tubes for different outputs? The manual states that both output should sound identical

Yeah, I do believe there are. You should hit up MatrixClaw on here. I believe he has a Mesa preamp, and could probably shed more light. If not, then that would be the only logical thing to my mind.
