Ok, so I'm saving for a new guitar atm. I am using a strat copy for now but I am saving for a new, decent electric guitar. I can't afford a real gibson so I was looking at the epiphone models. I was thinking of getting a Flying V or and explorer

Some questions

1. Is there a huge difference between the epiphone flying v/explorer? I was checking out both guitars and they pretty much have the same features, or maybe I'm being naive?

2. I would appreciate if someone could tell me the difference between these guitars, in case I'm missing something

Flying Vs

I would appreciate if someone could tell me the differences between the different flying vs I posted and between the different explorers I posted

Also, is there a difference between the '58 flying v, and the '58 explorer, as with the gothic flying v and the gothic explorer?

Sorry for the long and maybe confusing post but I'm just rly curious

does it have to be epiphone, because there are much better guitars with similar shapes

I think black doom death metal is just plain stupid. go flame on me but i can't hear nothing but shit on those songs with everything in drop A or below. also it could've been without lyrics as you'd never hear them anyway.

Yeah I'm talking just on the site I gave

Could you gimme examples, from that site please

Also it's just I don't know what it means my humbucker pickups like are they good or what? Should I just buy better pickups later on and fit 'em in?

and what does it mean by open coil?

That white gold and black epiphone is frekin gorgeous

i demand you buy it solely on principal of it's awesomeness...

but seriously good specs

The prophecy is excellent too, i personally want one

i played it and fell in love with the thing...

wonderful neck, and solid pickups, and it's right, really good fret access...

so ya i can vouch for that one

Out of all those, id pick the prophecy.

Humbucking pickups are better if you play heavier music (modern rock/metal) They are essentially two single coils put together. The prophecy has emg active pickups, which many people love for metal, but they would not be a great choice in pickup unless you have a tube amp.

What is your current setup?

Well I have a small artec gp-10 cube. It only cost me like 60 euro so it's not brilliant, but it's ok for practicing etc

I plan on buying a new amp around the time I get my new guitar, and I won't have a lot of money to spend on one. Looking to get a decent amp, better than the one I have now

So that prophecy futura EX I posted would be the best one yeah? There's only a difference of 50 euro which is not bad. Would it be worth the extra 50 euro stretch?

If I can only come up with 400 is there anything wrong with the other models I posted, in comparison with that prophecy?

Also, see how the goth V has no fret markers? Anyway of putting on your own? I know a little bit of a silly question >.<

Also is there really a difference between the korina flying v and the goth?
