Make Believe

I put my keys into the door
And I find you on the floor
And when everything turns black and you know how it will make sweat out
Sometimes I think of me alone
And the guy that you brought home
And then i see your room go black and you know how it makes me freak out
And all your sheets still smell the same
As I stand at the door frame
And I hear every moan and every sigh that you dare to let out
Will you forgive all my mistakes
All the pains and all the aches
And forget every single thing that made you just want to get out

I hear you yell
and hear him scream
And then I hear you lay and breathe
And you know that you'll never
Find someone like me

Don't believe in anything unless it's make believe

Dance in all your ignorance
Prance like your a princess
Dance in all your innocence
But I know that you're missin this

I taste your sweat and all your tears
You look back on all the years
And when everything seems black and you can't figure any of this out
While we shake we end up crashing
And throwing down and thrashing
And then once I'm in too deep you'll have trouble ever getting me out

Because you yell
and then we scream
and then all we can do is breathe
And you know that you'll never
Find someone like me

Don't believe in anything unless it's make believe

the turning

i know last night was sposed to be a short one
get in and out with little drama or despair
but melancholy seems to follow you around
from place to place, something like the plague

the head on your beer was half a glass
the barmaid someone from the past
even the entertainment was out of tune
left us peturbed by his miserable croon

and all of this disorder
caused her
to slip into disguise as we called her
back from the brink
she was sick in the sink
and biting her tongue in disappointment
that she didn't make it to the toilet

half-assed we made our way back to the flat
with all the vultures asking for that
which we could not consent to
but still they continued chasing after you

and if we had let them they'd be in your room
feasting on your gloom

and all of this disorder
caused her
to slip into disguise as we called her
back from the brink
though it was not what you think
the panic twisted in her gut
and without giving a ****
she leapt out of the night

the appearance of fangs from her top gum
suggested that thanks was out of the question
and as daylight broke she died
a little inside

melancholy seems to follow you around
from place to place, something like the plague
when you misbehave

Find a dice and assign a number to each girl. Throw the dice.

The number you hope for at the moment you throw the dice, is the one you'll want to keep.

Blue. I didn't like some of the rhyming in red.

They were both enjoyable though.
Today I feel electric grey
I hope tomorrow, neon black
