What is a solid learner Bass I should pick up? I found a black Warwick Rock Bass for sale for 350$ Canadian, am I getting jypt?

And if I plug my bass into my guitar amp, will I regret it? Noob, I know, but better safe than sorry, right?

Wow. Quick reply, and thanks a bunch. Any suggestions on what I would want to ebay? I saw some "Typhoons" in the store, but they look like they would be a piece of crap, too.

1) currency sign comes first
2) I don't know what current Candian price for Rockbasses are. Do a bit of research, see what the general consensus is. They're good, though.
3) Bass frequencies will damage your speaker cone over time.

The rockbass is fine, a decent bass for the money. Get one of those little headphone amps and use that instead, or go through your -puter.

Actually, in Canada, the official way is to write 1$.

(edit: in French Canada it is more common now, as English Canada has been switching over to the English way of it. I'm still under the impression that the official Canadian way is to write 1$).

(additional edit: so they have officially turned over to writing $1, though my statement is kind of irrelevant unless TS is either really old school or French Canadian (though I doubt it))

I thought Tip 1 was to stick to guitar and leave the bass for the actual musicians.

Wow, you're cool.

My Ibanez GSR200 served me well when I was learning.

Why would you spend tens of thousands of dollars to learn about a language you already speak? It was over before it even started dude

You do realize you're being just as bad as guitarists who say bass should be seen and not heard right?

As for TS, I don't know if its a good value in Canadian currency, but those are definitely quality instruments.

But I plugged a bass into a guitar amp as a bassist once

Also, beware of using guitar effects that rob you of your low end
