thinking about selling my Spider III 150 (was a xmas gift, so dont flame me) and i've been looking at the Vox VT 30 or 50. good idea??

absolutely. try out the vypyrs too. both are miles ahead the spider (im not a bandwagon member, iv tried a few spiders and hated them myself). the vypyr was my favorite, especially the 60w tube version.

The Vox VT series is in a completely different league then the Spider III amps. It would be a definite improvement to your sound!

Definately go with the blackstar that things tone is unbelievable. Plus once you switch from modelling amps over to tube amps youll never go back lol. Its unbelievable

it depends if u want many sounds that sound good, or a few kind of sounds that sound great.

Do you need effects? If you do, then the Blackstar is not an option, unless you have $$$ for pedals.

If you don't need the effects, the Blackstar is a great little amp.
