I'm planning on purchasing a new guitar in the $600-$800 USD range. I want an H-H, non-tremolo, semi-hollowbody that's fairly versatile. So far I'm down to 3 choices:

PRS SE Custom Semi-Hollowbody:http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/PRS-Guitars-SE-Custom-SemiHollow-Electric-Guitar?sku=514461

PRS SE Custom Sem-Hollowbody w/ Soapbars: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/PRS-Guitars-SE-Custom-Semi-Hollow-Soapbar-Electric-Guitar?sku=515827

Fender '72 Tele Thinline*: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-72-Classic-Telecaster-Thinline-Electric-Guitar?sku=510474

*the thinline is $750 at my local guitar center.

Also, is there any noticeable difference between the soapbars and the humbuckers? If not, I'd be happy to grab the soapbar PRS for $500.

I'm open to other suggestions, as well.
thanks for the clarification regarding the soapbars. Are they about halfway in between single coils and humbuckers? I'm going to assume they hum, also.
Personally, out of the ones you are looking at, I would go with the Fender Tele Thinline. I've never been a real fan of PRS guitars (Lacking in tone IMO). The Thinlines are great for what they are.
