i have been looking and searching for an inexpensive semi-hollow with six on a side tuning keys like the trini lopez gibson or dave grohls gibson, or the tele timeline but those can go for $3000 plus any ideas

What's with six tuning pegs at the same side? Just curious.

For the real answer its just what the guy above said. Thinline fenders.

It's probably just a preference. I prefer 6 in line as well.

A Hagstrom Viking II or see if you can find a used Viking, a lot of the old ones had 6 in line.

Fender starcaster? (not the starcaster by fender, either, I mean the semi hollow from the 70's)

If you can find one, the old Fender Starcasters(The semihollow 335-y ones, not the Wal-mart strats) are godly.
