I'm putting two Dimarzio Humbuckers into a strat build, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience hearing any dimarzio's in a strat style guitar.

i've been thinking humbucker from hell in the bridge and an evolution DP159 in the neck. But I have no idea how this will sound 'til I get 'em in and wire these things up.

Any other suggestions/recommendations?

body is alder, neck will be ebony or maple. (if i can find ebony to make it with)
and they HAVE to be dimarzio. Thanks.

try it? explore new tones!

but yeah, they should sound good, if not, just swap to something you like...

Half of the 80s was made using Dimarzios in strat style guitars, So yes, I have experience hearing them.

I'm not sure if I've ever heard a humbucker from hell, but the evo is a great p/up.

Just wondering, why exactly do they HAVE to be DiMi's?

I know DC resistance doesn't mean too much, but a 5k in the bridge and a 14 k in the neck? I reckon you'll have a really hard time getting a decent volume balance between the two.
