I have the chance to buy a Jackson KE3 for $300 in a transparent blue finish. Is this worth it?

How is the tremelo?

Yea- it is worth it- The Japanese Jacksons are top notch in terms of quality. The Licensed Trem isn't OFR quality, but it isn't half bad at all...especially for 300 bucks.

Assuming it's in good condition, yes it's a very good deal. Jackson makes a nice LFR, it comes with seymour duncan pups, alder body, etc.

Great guitar. Even better when you get a set-up

One thing to bear in mind is that it is the slightly older (pre-2006) model of KE3. You can tell because the hardware is chrome and the pickups are Duncan Designed rather than genuine Seymour Duncan. It's still a great guitar though, and if I had the chance to buy one for the equivalent of $300, I wouldn't pass it up.
