I put a lace sensor red pickup into my tele in the bridge position. The only problem is that it likes to make this high pitched ringing sound quite often. It's not like normal feedback and it doesn't happen when i select the neck pickup and only happens minimally when both are selected. When i touch the bridge plate with my finger the high pitched sound goes away. Is there a fix to this or is it common for single coil pickups to do this because my other guitars all have humbuckers in the bridge.
if it stops when you touch the brige plate then its possibly a bad ground on the pickup.
