What kind of synths are used in the backing of a lot of pink floyd and dave gilmour songs? if any of you know any good hypersonic sounds then that would be great (HS2)

I just want to know some good sounds for backing that arent too overpowering

Thanks

Here you go... seen yr thread a while ago... this might interest you..

.... which to my interpretation of your initial query, should answer it perfectly. Just dial in the sound, and compose away

And in case someone wants to bitch and moan... google is yr friend... do some research into the sounds available on the synths he is using (and yes, there will be specs around the net).

You could emulate his rig pretty easily with a slapback echo, reverb, and 2-3 keyboards (Acoustic Piano, Electric/Organ, String Synth).

The 'general pads' are also mostly synth strings if thats any help.
