i found this site http://membres.lycos.fr/davpseudo/ffactorx.htm
does anyone know if that's a good version? also why are there two diagrams? i can read french coz i'm half french, but it doesn't say anything about it
i think it might just be if you use a case for grounding, rather than just connecting the bits

From what I can gather both switching layouts will do the same thing.

I've seen builds using the second diagram that is shown. This is the correct layout for a fuzz factory though.

I think first one is input grounding DPDT true bypass, second one is regular truebypass.

Use the first one because this is a high gain, oscillating circuit.

They works the same, but if you can hear your pedal oscillating while its bypassed (turned off) then you should consider using input grounded true bypass.

Why not build it input grounded at first so you don't have to "gamble".

He never use it basically.

I heard it only in Plug In Baby and Blackout, Citizen Erased solo maybe and a few others.

The reason he got it in his guitar: He got to reach for the Stab and Gate knobs when doin his oscillations for the intro of Plug In Baby and a few other noises.

so maybe i wanna use the oscillation =], i use my amp for distortion, now that i've built a footswitch lol =]
and i figure i may as well build this first, then if it works, cool, if i like it, even better

doesn't stop me from building a fuzz face or something later does it?

EDIT: to someoneyouknew: sowwy lesson learned

EDIT2: also can someone link me the ultimate fuzz thread, and yes i did searchbar

spammy thread is spammy.

If you have more questions about building a pedal, please post them in: The Ultimate Pedal Building Thread
