Im restringing my RG770 and the tops of the screws have rust all over them.

should I like do anything about it or try to find replacements? The screws themselves are fine, its just the tops where the allen key slot is thats rusted over a bit. its kind of annoying me simply because its a limited edition and valuable guitar lol.

If you think it decreases the value and face of the guitar, get them changed.

Personally, I think it gives character.

I guess it gives a bit of character yeah, but i kinda dislike rust....

if it doesnt damage the ability of the nut to keep the guitar in tune I wont change it yet, but if it rusts too much I guess I'll have to.

mainly I play the damn thing anyway...

If it costs too much to replace the screws don't bother.
But it can't do any harm to replace them. So long as you replace them with the same type of screws.
