Does anyone else think that this man was, a musical genius? If The Amazing Jonathan is the Freddy Kreuger of comedy, Zevon's gotta be the Freddy Krueger of classic rock.
His lyrics were just so mellow, yet dark and disturbing. My favorites were:

Werewolves Of London
Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner
Lawyers, Guns, and Money
I Was In The House When The House Burned Down
Poor, Poor, Pityful Me

There is no end to the list, I like 'em all

The problem with making threads about Warren Zevon is that in the CR forum, a band needs a pretty big following to sustain a thread. For example, here are some of the active threads, off the top of my head:

Beatles, Zeppelin, Floyd, Dylan, Rush, Skynyrd, AC/DC, Grateful Dead and that's about it. The Who and Neil Young are hanging in there.

That being said, Lawyers, Guns and Money is great.

I got into Warren Zevon this past year, Now he's one of my favorite
In addition to whats already been mentioned...

Play it all night long
Excitable Boy
Things to do in Denver when youre dead
and his cover of Raspberry beret
When they kick at your front door
how are you gonna come
with your hands on your head
or on the trigger of your gun
