i read through the amp for metal thread or whatev and was wondering what is best for me. I want a tube amp that can do almost everything, from metal to gospel. I live in Ontario Canada, i have about $400-$700 to spend. I wouldn't mind a combo, but i'm also looking into pedals.

thanks in advance.

(p.s. i need a new amp because i just sold my spider III 75 with an fbv footswitch for $500)

hey, i think i got one of the good spiders , it actually sounded decent and i put alot of time into getting a good tone. Plus the guy who bought it has been playing 35 years and loves it

edit: southwestern ontario, near the KW

Theres a nice mesa studio 22 plus combo in the woodstock area. You might want to look into that. Or a line 6 flextone II. $400 bucks with teh pedal board in Burlington. Actually a great amp. not tube though still a great amp, very versatile.

the mesa boogie doesn't look bad, are those things pretty good? I know mesa boogie's are usually great but what about this one?

valveking has a great clean channel and a very good OD channel, I'm saving for the 1x12 right now. Plenty of tone shaping options on those amps too.

500 for the amp AND FBV footswitch... The footswitch is probably worth more than the amp....LOL...
