Step 1: Don't buy the wah.
Step 2: Save up just a little bit more.
Step 3: Buy a good, 5 watt, tube amp (Blackstar HT-5, Orange Tiny Terror, depends what music you play).
Step 4: Profit. (That's right, no ???????!)

Yeah, Definitely buy a new amp first.
Wait.

Well, the smartest thing would be to save up & buy a new amp, but if you're hapy with the volume of your MG, you could always use the money to buy a Blackstar pedal, something like the HT-Dist or HT-DistX, that'd completely overhaul your sound (just dont use your amps distortion, use the Blackstar through the clean setting) & then get a set of strings

Yep, this.

A new amp definitely. I'm assuming you only need a practice amp since you're coping with a mg10, so I'm gonna suggest buying a Roland cube 30, and possibly the wah you want. I know modellers don't take THAT well to pedals, but I never had a problem running my wah through my cube, and if you upgrade from the cube, you still have the wah.

Incidentally, I have a cube for sale....

New Amp.

Or some nice thick Fuzz?
We all know how fun a fuzz can be.

Save another £100 and get a Blackstar HT-5. You will not regret it. Try looking used too.

Between that amp and the Marshall MG, you will notice an infinite difference in how good you will sound.

Get a vox ac4 tv and a decent od (to get metal tones)

Tokai Love Rock
Vox AC4
Danelectro Transparent Overdrive
T.C. Electronic Nova Repeater
Stomp Under Foot Violet Rams Head

I bet you could find a Flextone for £300 if you look hard enough too. Just something else that you should definitely consider.

^ A Flextone is actually a great idea. They are cheap as hell second hand too, well worth the money.
