your thread is politically incorrect.

Nope. The crunch is the transfer of vibrations from your mouth to your ear drum through your skull.

If you're ear drum doesn't work, the vibrations won't be picked up.

The third option is stupid.

Yet the 3rd is right. Same as if someone comes behind you even though you re wearing earphones blasting music. You ll still feel them if they get close enough

The third one doesn't make sense... because if you can't hear something though feeling. You'll just feel it.

To touch me, yes. But I've lost count of the times my housemate has scared the crap out of me by coming up behind me while I'm sitting here with my headphones on.

I don't really have a 'sixth sense'

Depends on the type of deafness obviously.

i wonder this as well, because of the massive difference between the sound that you hear, and the sound that other people hear....
so, as another question, can deaf people hear internal noise?

Hm. Well I think a person who goes deaf might, because they have sounds and words in their memory. But a person born deaf may not hear internal noise at all, as they have never experienced it.

Wait, what if a person goes deaf, eats chips, and THINKS he's hearing it? Will a born-deaf person react the same???

How? I can just see how that conversation went...

him: "HARGLLEGLELELLED...GATF"

Either you hear it or don't. There's no "hearing" it.

And since someone is deaf, than no.

Stupid question anyway.

You'll feel the vibrations of your chewing through your skull, depending n how damaged your hearing is, it's very possible that the vibrations could move your hammer/anvil/stirrup or whatever and you MIGHT hear something

In a comic I read, this character got his eyes and ear drums blown by these loud sound vibrations from an alien and so then one of the main characters had to yell with his mouth and hands cupped at the deaf kids head and the deaf kid managed to understand what he was saying through the vibrations. Is that possible?
#32
This is a forum for music, any idea why this question will never be answeared by someone that really know?

Really obvios, isn't it?

If your deaf because your eardrum doesn't work, wouldn't something like crunching patato chips vibrate your inner ear bones, thus letting your hear something?
