I was just curious if there was a big sound difference between the single and dual mesa boogie rec's because i want a rec, but my budget is only allowing for a single, i could save up some but it could be awhile, so unless there is a gigantic sound difference, i would just prefer to just go ahead and find a single-rectoverb.

I think the Single has less gain, and a looser bottom end?

looser bottom could probably be fixed by eqing it right

and ive heard it still has enough gain to kill puppies.

I was going to comment but this thread is super fail so far, why do people comment if they have no clue what they are talking about. TS, check the searchbar, this topic has been covered several times.

If you're EQ'd loose, you'll sound loose anyway.

If you are paying that much for an amp, I would play both, and see what you think. The single rec has less power, so I would think it would be a little more spongy, but may be wrong.
