I've noticed lately that my shredding needs to be worked on, particularly my legato, as I can do it, but it's very basic, I'd love to do stuff like EVH and as a specific example, parts of the solo to Nuclear Assault's Something Wicked, in that style. Any particular ways, stuff to practice that would be good for building this up?

Oh and wait for the Schecter fan boys, if you listen real hard you can already hear them coming.

Get better at playing sowly first, and all the speeds in between what you can do now and what you want to do.

YOu have to be patient, you can't just ramp things up at will, you need to progress gradually.
