So, I was at this party tonight.

I parked my car beside the house, and just as I was leaving I noticed my car doors were open. So I look inside, and my paneling is completely ripped apart. My stereo is gone (Dual XDVD-8130), my Sirius satellite radio, an amp (Bose ML163), and two ten inch speakers (which weren't very good but got the job done) were gone.

To top it off, the lock on my car door (passenger side) is ****ed up and my key is unusable on it.

Anyone else ever get ripped off like this before? **** sucks.

Got insurance?

I do, but I just don't know if they'll cover it.

I gotta tell you, this is the first time I've ever been robbed. Feels good, man. There were so much people there too, it'd be impossible to know who did it.

You ought to try n work out how much the insurance will cost you first (excess, insurance increase due to loss of no claims bonus etc.) compared to the cost of repairing the damage and replacing the goods.

Report it to the police who if they are any good may come and dust for prints etc.

Ask around see if anyone knows anything at all.

Other than that, sucks to be you mate

The only thing ever stolen from my car was the drivers side wing mirror. Got a new one from the scrappy which was quite brilliantly faded to the same shade as the wing mirror on the other side, and as a plus the heater element inside it worked which it never did in the original wing mirror!

Yeah, something tells me the I'm gonna be paying more and more to repair the damage while the insurance company basically says "we can't do anything" aka "fuck off."
