i has a question also.

my guitar has buzz at the nut ever since I changed the tuning once.

now whatever tuning i put it in, it has buzz at the nut when playing open,1,2,3,4,or 5 fret.

i have changed the strings since and it still does it.
Guitars:
Ibanez RG350EX
ESP/LTD EC400AT

Soon to have an Ibanez RG1550M, 350M, and RG2610!!

9s will be alot slacker, so your action is probably set a little too low for the 9s (assuming you want no fret buzz)

i went from 11s to 9s. should that make a difference?

yes.

on the Low E string, you need to fret the first fret and the last fret, where the neck and body meet.

with both places held, see if you can fit a credit card in the middle fret area, around the 7-9th.

then post back.

you might be able to just lift the bridge a little.

or

you might find that you'll do better adjusting the action AND adjusting neck relief.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.
