So, i've been playing for about a year and a half, i have a teacher and we've been looking at modes, scales, specially pentatonic shapes, and chords; but now i want to "design" a good study program to boost my technique (not to a shredder-like level, but good enough to be comfortable with my playing) and theory knowledge.
So, what books, instructional DVDs, etc. do you reccomend me?

I've been working with Frank Gambale's Chop Builder, and just bought Guthrie Govan's Creative Guitar 1 & 2 books.

sounds like you should ask your teacher for a real solid opinion?

idk, maybe just get a hendrix tab book...if u can play that then u should feel pretty comfortable

John Petrucci's Rock Discipline has a lot of awesome tips, really helped me.

I also recommend this, and also, Intense Rock I and II by Paul Gilbert will help.
