Well pretty much i've got a relatively new Les Paul with a nitrocellulose finish.
I like to take pretty good care of it and clean it regularly using that bottles stuff you buy from guitar shops (fender mist & wipe or something)
It costs about $10 a bottle and i use that in about 2 months.
I know it sounds cheap as but i'm a full time student trying to save for a decent car.
What else could i use?
that stuff seems pretty simple and i just keep feeling like i'm getting ripped off.
is there any car or household products that do the job?

any fellow UGer's had experience?

thanks, in advance

It's not just the money,
i just want to know if there are any alternatives that won't ruin my finish.

Do you really need to polish it that much?

Honestly you don't need to polish it that much. To tell the truth, I've had my Dot for about a year now and I haven't even properly polished it. Just a quick wipe with a wet cloth on the frets and a dry cloth on the body to dust it every now and then.
