Actually, its nothing of the sort but i had an idea i wanted to run past you guys.

I ran across this in deviant art

This might go nowhere, as i am awaiting the artists permission before i use it but I wanted to know if it possible to print it off, attach to my pick guard and lacquer over it to preserve it and if so, how i might go about it.

Finally, do you prefer the original or my slightly modified version below?

I don't see why it wouldn't work, just put it on and clearcoat it i assume.

Thats what i was thinking

Can anyone do a mock up of the designs on the pickguard, I cant get kiskae to do it and my photo shopping is awful. The pic would be rotated 90 degrees to the right.

is it going on a strat? , if so would you not rotate it 45 degrees to the left

ill see if i can get a pic up of what i mean
Gear :
strat copy (SD Hotrails in bridge, Lil' 59 in Neck)
Orange Dual Terror
Orange PPC112
Pitchblack/SHO Clone/Morley PWA wah

the reason you can't use it on kisekae is because it's a .gif, convert it to a .jpg and yull be fine.

You could also laminate it between two thin bits of pick guard material, the top one being clear.

It will be rotated so that his head points towards the neck of my guitar. Course i can always play around with it to see what fits best.

@skeet, thats also a good idea.

Yah, you might have to try to add some black/white/whatever around the design.

Any reconsiderations on the brand i should use? Must be available in the uk however.

I would print this on a transparent film paper, then spray a layer of clearcoat on the pickguard, apply the film, and then clearcoat over it after it has dried.

You can use the stock white pickguard.

EDIT: here's a tutorial:
