Jesus, what a increadible amp. It came today by mail order. I already tested it for 30 mins, and it's really really increadible.

review: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/guitar_amplifiers/diezel/vh4s/index.html

So much versatility, so much oomph, such a nice clean, it's all top notch. Epic amp, that's for sure.
Enough blah blah, lets get to the wanking:

Nah, I prefer the orange cab. It's even darker than the diezels. And it delivers more low end. But even better then the oranges are the Mills acoustics 412. Just increadible.

Channel 1 is a very glassy Hi-Fi Fenderish clean. Really very sparkling and room filling. With the gain on max, it gets a little dirty border, but it stays pretty clean.
Channel 2 goes from a full warm clean to a dirty blues, up to a crunch that put all modern made marshalls to shame (yes, even the JCM800). Ideal for blues, rock and hardrock (think AC/DC crunch).
Channel 3 is world famous, and I understand why. It's hard rock/metal/heavy metal heaven. It litterally can blow your balls in your anus. Not that having your balls right there is alot of fun, but it's pretty impressive, isn't it? Channel 3 is undescribable, you have to play it yourself.
Channel 4 is like channel 3, but with more gain and a bit more bite. Perfect for cutting through the mix with a solo.

So the gain goes from very little, to even more than a 5150.

Sweet! Not much of a fan of the VH4s I've tried, but I've heard some awesome tones out of them when recorded

For if you say:

Only use chorus and delay on CH 1
Only use OD and EQ on CH 2
Only use a different OD and a delay on CH 3
Only use a different OD and a delay and a reverb on CH 4

etc.

That way you can make each channel its own completely unique tone. The possibilities with that feature are endless.

+1

Was thinking about it when I setup my rig... It would be nice to hit channel three and instantly OD and noise gate kicks on then back to channel one for chorus and delay..

About as much gain as Petrucci has shredding skills.

Also, the spider thing is disturbing.
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.
Probably picked "for teh lulz"

^Wrong thread, but the Haze half-stack (or head with a good 2x12) with some good speakers. If you can afford the Haze with say, an Avatar 2x12 with Celestion Greenbacks, Eminence Private Jacks, or Celestion V30's it would rule. If you want to go the bugera route, they have a plexi copy that would rule fore those purposes.

EDIT: WOW! o.o The post is gone now.
