Go for the original: Blue Cheer.
Mother Earth is pregnant for the third time
For y'all have knocked her up.
I have tasted the maggots in the mind of the universe
I was not offended
For I knew I had to rise above it all
Or drown in my own shit.

I know all of the bands, that you've recommended except for High On Fire

it's not really heavy psych. but I guess some Colosseum could be considered that. Either way, Valentyne Suite is awesome. anyone else heard it??

since you listed two early 70's bands, i assume you're talking about early 70's heavy psych. go with:

the wicked lady
sir lord baltimore
captain beyond
iron claw
lucifer's friend
uriah heep
wishbone ash
atomic rooster
budgie
high tide
jerusalem
november (the early swedish act)

and since you said stone bunny, i assume you're already listening to bedemon and the early pentagram stuff, right?

i'm still surprised that you drop two of the most obscure names in early hard psych, and then ask for recommendations.

the witch i was talking about is a zambian act from 1975, a bit like chrissy zebby tembo, but more dark:

possessed was a heavy psych band from the late 60's who released one album. i believe it was re-released just a couple years ago:

as ratticx said, coven is a great psych band, along with the similiar black widow.

i just ran across this the other day:

Band - Album

Deaf - Alpha
Arzachel - (same title)
Morgen - (same title)
JPT Scare Band - Sleeping Sickness
Thunder and Roses - King of the Black Sunrise
The Human Instinct - Stoned Guitar
Floating Bridge - (same title)
Demian - (same title)
Orang-Utan - (same title)

There's tracks off all those albums on youtube, some are more psychedelic than others. You can easily lose days searching through the 'related videos' using the above bands as starting points...
