hey guys
so im notta fan (as most of u guys probably arent either) of the initial electronics of the that were in put in it
all piezo-y, etc.....

i was wondering.. is it possible to keep the preamp in the guitar and hook it up to the lr baggs i-beam?

hey david sorry
my guitar is the taylor 314ce
it currently has the taylor prefix plus (side-mount preamp)

what i'm assuming is that the prefix plus is a preamp that connects to some piezo-y pickup, is that not right?

i was just reading about the i-beam and saw it was the "best acoustic pickup" according to alot of users
i have the baggs m1 soundhole pickup.. but i hate putting it in, and rather would prefer to just have something built inside

if there is a different better way to go, please let me know
i just really dont like the pickup system inside, and feel that it could be alot better and would save me the trouble from using the soundhole pickup
