I really need some help with my Firebird Project. It is made to resemble the Firebird VII, and I can not find any wiring diagrams for it whatsoever. Can someone please help?

Wow, I actually feel extremely stupid that I hadn't thouht of that....

Anyways, I found a diagram for the Les Paul:

BUT, are the pots 250k? or 500k? Does it matter?

And, I am sorry, but I need someone to explain the diagram to me... I have never built a guitar before, and just need a little extra help.

They're probably 500k.

and you might want to wire it differently (with separate on/off switches) so you have all the options.

It seems I'm too late, but here's the schematic directly from Gibson for the Firebird VII. (Screenshot uploaded to my PB account cuz it was in a pdf)

What I Have:

2 250k Pots
2 500k Pots
3-Way Switch

Planning on Buying 3 Seymour Duncan pickups, SM-1 (Bridge), SM- 3 (Neck), and still haven't decided between the two for the middle pickup...

I am really looking for the best options for wiring with the electronics that I have.

i think theres 7 pickup combinations.

to many switches might get confusing

you can do it with 3 on/off switches.

Why would this be the easiest to wire?

2 250k Pots
2 500k Pots
3-Way Switch

Will I be able to wire my guitar with just these? Or do I need more electronics?
