If notes are notes and chords are chords, would the same chords used for a song played on a Ukulele work on a guitar as well?

They will have different voicings, but yes, a C chord is a C chord, and will still be a C chord on a ukulele.

When you play an open G chord:
E--3
B--3
G--0
D--0
A--2
E--3

and you play a G barre chord:
E--3
B--3
G--4
D--5
A--5
E--3

They sound like the same chord, but they also sound different, because their voicings are different.

oh I see. Would adding a capo work to make my guitar sound more like a ukulele?

Kind of, but not really. It's really just the instrument.

most ukes, the smaller ones anyway, have a high string where the lowest string should be. so no, it wouldnt really sound like a uke. more like a mondolin actually.

This, but the timbre will also be different. If you really want a ukulele just get one, theyre really cheap and fun to play around with
