all line6 pods, floor, XT, 2.0 have suitable facilities for recording, i plug my floor pod into the line in/microphone jack of my computer and record that way.

Most pods have usb that go direct to the computer. Why would you use a cheap pc input jack instead of complete digital transfer right from the device to the recording software.
