Hey pit, just a quick question...

I was wondering if anyone knew how to create a setup where:

- the primary monitor is the PC monitor and the secondary monitor is the laptop

- the two are connected wirelessly, over LAN (because i don't have the right wire thing)

- the first pc is running XP and the laptop is running vista

ask me if i've missed anything (:

so you can control everything with one mouse and keyboard, and copy and paste stuff over both screens, the same reason everyone uses dual screens

Hook it up so you can have 2 keyboards and 2 mouses on 1 moniter instead.

Make sure there's nobody around though, cos when they realise they can also control a mouse and keyboard it will be nigh-on impossible to get anything done

its easy with just a normal monitor cable

-No problem, you can set that up in your display settings.

-This I don't know about, but I honestly don't see why it couldn't be done.

-Impossible. You'd need two separate computers.

I don't think you realise what dual monitors is.

You're not describing dual monitors, ie two monitors linked the the same PC, where the cursor can go between screens.

You've described 2 computers (or a PC and a laptop) with a LAN connection, to make file transfers fast.
