Alright, so I got a mexi-strat not to long ago and I finally got around to messing with it...
So, after a stripdown and a refinish, im starting to think about pickups..

I'm looking for more of a ''malmsteen'' tone, i guess, less of a bluesy sound, more of a neo-classical, ''quack''.

And i was originally going to just use YJM neck and middle and MS-3 bridge, but im starting to think a little bit more, maybe a red velvet or true velvet set, so i would love a little advice on this, thanks!

right now, i got a fender hot rod deluxe, and a Nady TD-1 tube distortion, or a boss metalzone, i like the TD-1 more though, i can get a real good, overdrive, crunch, amazing clean, or a great metal tone as well

if you want that neo classical tone (which can also be used for blues, rock, etc) I would go

bridge pup - Dimarzio HS-3
Middle pup - Dimarzio HS-2 or YJM
neck pup - DImarzio YJM

I really enjoy both the YJM and HS-3 a lot. All around great pups
