Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me,
I have a Peavey Vypyr 15 which plays fine untill you crank up the volume to over 5 or so then I get a sort of crackling sound followed by my amp making a sound that sounds as if it's vibrating off the floor,
Is it broken or is it my guitar?

Thanks in advance

Could be a number of things. Could be software related in which case get the latest patch (if you can on a 15). Could be a loose speaker. Could be some other hardware related issue. I doubt it is your guitar.

If you don't get it figured out here I would post in the Only Peavey Vypyr thread or in the peavey.com forums in their Vypyr forum. You can also send Peavey an email, they are usually pretty good about getting back right away.

Is it under warranty?

Most solid state amps begin clipping the speaker at about half volume. I said "most", to the vetta/vh140c/jazz chorus owners... (theirs not so much).
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.
