Hey,

I need to know the easiest way to record on my computer,
but use my amp instead of programs live Amplitube or Sony Acid. (because my soundcard sucks)

My amp is a 15wat Peavy Vyper,
with phono input, and 3.5mm output.

My Pc has almost every input known to man,
because of my kick ass motherboard.

Usb, 3.5mm, Phono, HDMI, RGB, and RCA

I was going to run a 3.5mm cable from my amp to my PC,
but is this the best way to record through my amp?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Thats hardly even vinyl quality..
And why spend $20-40 on a half decent mic?

well if you plug the output of your amp into your computer it will sound like trash, you'd be better off plugging your guitar into your computer. for the best results you'll need an usb/firewire audio interface and a sm57.
