Why volume gets lower when I do a palm muted and then grows up to normal when not palm mutted?

I use guitar rig 3.
I have a preset with a lot effects. BUt I can't find the effect causing it...

i think you're doing the palm mutes wrong.

is the volume loss that bad?
is like when the volume is in 10 then it goes to 4 kinda volume loss?

What preset is it exactly?

There just might not be enough gain on tap to really get a chuggy palm mute out of it, so it sounds quieter.

Well... it's a heavy distortion (metallica like) preset.

BUt w/e

Thx for those who helped, I'll just use another preset

What effects are on the preset? I don't know what could cause that though
I have a huge fear if rays.

A lots of 'em...
one amp... two equalizer, two cabinets, one studio reverb, one trans amp, one distort
#13
I'd imagine there's either not enough gain so the palm muted sound sounds so weak, or it's because of how the preset is EQ'd.

Well there you go. Don't use that preset... or modify it.
You need to tweak.

Check the output or input level, or the volume of the speakers.
If it's in red, then lower it.

Can't be that, the sound would completely disappear if the noise gate would be closed when he palm mutes.
