I know I posted a thread about this a few weeks ago, but I never really got a clear answer.

I can get a killer deal on a fender supersonic 4x12 cab NEW.
http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=2161400400

It has V30s and is birch ply construction.
How is this different from a Mesa Boogie Cab? I have a mark IV and plan on playing mostly metal. Should I spend $500 on a new 4x12 super sonic or go $950 for a Recto 4x12.

They are both V30s with Birch ply cabinets. Are the speakers the same or some kind of variant?

I need help GG&A

I don't see why it wouldn't make much of a difference (though I'm sure someone will come in saying it does), I say go for it, seems like a good deal.

IMO speakers affect the tone of a cab the most, and V30s are pretty nice speakers. I say go for the fender cab and save some money!

Well look at the price, which is best suited for metal.........get the mesa, yes it's more expensive your most likely to get a better metal tone out of it than the other cab, but try the other one out first, if you like it get it, just don't buy either without trying them first... you could really regret it.

or you could get a Vader cab for 750...middle price, best cab...everybody happy

I heard this head was garbage.. but does anyone know what kind of speakers it has? (EDIT: The cab.. doh)

I might bring my Mark IV to AZ and play on a super sonic cab to see how it sounds. I already know how awesome it sounds on a Recto cab.

nobody's big on Vaders hmm? I don't have any experience with Mesa cabs or Vader cabs but hear great things about Vaders....A cab I do have experience with is my Randall XL 4x12...it's absolutely incredible in my opinion. crisp highs, brutal lows, solid midrange. I love it.
