Hey guys, so after much comtemplation ive decided to finally buy an acoustic guitar. predominatlely im a electric player but ive always had a love for fingerstyle that i havent yet indulged and my flying V just wont cut it :P

my price range is $350-500 NZ dollars and ive opted for second hand because after looking at how expensive some of the new acoustics are i thought it was the better choice.

heres a few guitars im looking at, there on a new zealand auction site. if you guys could tell me whether these guitars are rubbish or not it would be really appreciated:

i would go for the yamaha F310, dat would be my first choice because they are such great quality, don't go for seagull tho.

Probably not the most popular opinion expressed on this site but I really like the cheap pieces of ply board that sell under the pretence of being a classical guitar. Cheap as a bag of bud, sound great and are easy to play plus if you ever get frustrated and wanna "sacrifice" the thing you can do it without breaking the bank as well! Just a suggestion!

^ Doesn't sound like you know anything about acoustic guitars...

LOL Why not?

I'd go for the Seagull. It sounds good, and it's well made. And it's got a solid top unlike the two other guitars.

I think you should be able to find something better than those two yamaha. I'm pretty sure they make some fairly cheap models with at least solid tops. I'm not sure they would be better than the seagull though..

Alverez guitars are really good quality for how cheap they are. i got an RD8C for bout $300 and have been happy with it since. also there are some good Washburns in your price range as well

i'd also go with the seagull. a laminate top can never compare with a solid top.
